The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at Autonomous State Medical College, Kushinagar, focuses on women’s reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. This critical department is dedicated to educating students on the comprehensive care of women throughout various stages of life, including adolescent health, reproductive health, pregnancy, and menopause.

Our experienced faculty members provide an in-depth curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with extensive practical training. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics such as antenatal care, labour and delivery, high-risk pregnancies, gynaecological surgeries, reproductive endocrinology, fertility management, and gynecological cancers. Students learn essential skills like conducting patient histories, pelvic examinations, ultrasound interpretation, and managing normal and complicated pregnancies.

The department is equipped with modern delivery rooms, operation theatres for caesarean sections, and outpatient clinics, offering students hands-on experience in obstetric and gynecological care under expert supervision. Practical training includes labor ward rounds, surgical procedures, and family planning counseling, ensuring that students gain real-world experience in women’s healthcare.

Research and innovation are highly encouraged, with students exploring advancements in maternal-fetal medicine, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and reproductive technologies. The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department is committed to training future doctors to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to women, contributing to improved maternal and reproductive health outcomes.
